Near death experience?
Not quite, but six days of pure hell. In 31 years of life, I haven’t experienced the joys the flu. Last Monday I went to bed at 8pm with what felt like a sinus headache. I suffered throughout the week with a high temperature, severe body aches, chills and feeling like crap.
I finally recovered on Sunday and returned to work on Monday . It’s now Tuesday and though I’m still a bit light-headed, though I feel much better than I did last Tuesday.
Edwards? Help!
After watching the CNN democratic presidential debate from January 22, 2008, I’m a little less excited about Obama. Not because the mud Hillary tried to sling, I’m upset that Obama engaged in the childish bickering.
John Edwards showed a lot of patience, class and was the true victor of this presidential debate. It is time for a president who makes poverty a priority. John understands that if we can address poverty many of the other issues will fix themselves.
Goodbye Dennis
Democratic presidential candidate Dennis Kucinich on Tuesday asked his supporters to make rival Barack Obama their second choice if he doesn’t meet a cutoff point for voting in Iowa’s caucuses. The Associated Press
From the start, most realized Dennis Kucinich was too progressive to win the nomination. Now we say goodbye to Dennis. Obama is my second choice. Let’s he considers Kucinich as a running-mate.
Search Engine Optimization (SEO) & All Things Search
Lately my days at work include SEO (Search Engine Optimization) and working to improve the usability/functionality of AAFP search features using our in-house Google Mini’s. I attended Google Search Appliance Training at Fig Leaf software in the spring of 2007 which was a great start. I’ve quickly learned, SEO and search tasks could easily consume all of my time. Unfortunately my position only allows me to devote about 10% to the task.
To assist in my day-to-day research I’ve created a Google Custom search to help navigate the following content (without performing three separate searches).
Google Custom Search provided by Google that allows web developers to create customized search engines, based on Google Web Search.
